Introduction of C Programming language

C language is a block structure high level programming language,Developed by Dennis Ritchie at At & T’s bell laboratories of usa in 1972.At that time the programming language BCPL (Basic Combine Programming language) B where mostly used but there where such general purpose language that age Dennis Ritchie include many feature of BCPL B and some of own and developed a new general purpose language.which is C language.

Feature of C language:-

  • C language is a block structure function oriented programming language.
  • It provide a number of library function which make a function which make a language more simple.
  • It is an expressive and general purpose programming language.
  • It is a sensitive programming language.
  • It provides a rich set of data type keyword and operators.
  • Except the primary datatype like int,float,long etc.It provides a number of secondary datatype like pointer, structure, union etc.
  • It provides a facility of data observation.
  • It provides the facility of memory locating.
  • C language allows the user to create a data file.

  • ++ Increment
  • – Decrements
Example:-x=5
b=++x (pre increment)
 .
. . then b=6
b=x++ (post increment)
 .
. . then b=5
